Tabitha has been an Organic Chemist for 19 years and has extensive instrumentation experience. Most of her career has been comprised utilizing GC, GCMS and HPLC. She provides only accurate and ethical data to your business. Integrity is of the utmost importance as she analyzes samples and provides critical information to the end user of the medical marijuana. Tabitha opened DVT ultimately for her passion in the product and educating patients on the importance of testing and providing accurate data to properly medicate.
Technical Laboratory Director
Erin was raised in Seattle, WA. After college on the shores of Lake Superior in Wisconsin and majoring in biochemistry she spent time in central Alabama honing her laboratory skills in the pharmaceutical industry. After relocating back to Washington she fell into the wonderful world of cannabis by managing a recreational marijuana processing facility. Her role at DVT allows her to combine her cannabis knowledge with good lab practices to bring the best quality data to our customers. Erin lives in Phoenix with her adoring husband and daughter.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Sachia graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Biological Sciences. Coming from an ISO/A2LA accredited lab she uses the same quality techniques and standards in the lab at DVT. She is very excited about the growth and development of the cannabis industry and is proud to work for a lab that ensures clients are getting the same high quality testing for their products.
Cassidy brings 8 years of customer service experience to our DVT team. She prides herself in being the team cheerleader and helping clients navigate testing methods and concerns, all with a smile! She is big on community and feels it is the most important part of society or any industry. In her free time, she helps plan yoga events for charity, feeding the unhoused, and working directly with the Phoenix Art Community. Above all else the most important part of her life is her German Shepherd, Moose. She is beyond excited to work for DVT to help bring more education, awareness, and results to the cannabis industry.
Kevin attended Northern Arizona University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry with an emphasis in Forensics. After graduating from NAU, Kevin worked as a Forensic Chemist for the Maricopa County Medical Examiner for 5 years where he developed his skills in operating GC-FID, GC-MS, and LC-MS/MS. He is eager to expand his knowledge of the cannabis industry while also learning new instrumentation and testing methods. Kevin is excited to join the DVT team and to provide reliable, quality testing for their clients.
John was born and raised in Roanoke, VA. He graduated from Roanoke College in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. In early 2019, he took a leap-of-faith by moving to southern California aiming to cultivate knowledge from a developed cannabis industry. He has a working knowledge of cannabis cultivation and processing facilities; as well as prior experience in an accredited analytical testing laboratory that is licensed by the state of California. He is honored to have been given the opportunity to join the DVT team and is excited to expand his knowledge of cannabis and analytics, while also providing patients and recreational users with reliable, reproducible data. Outside of the lab, John enjoys off-roading with friends, exploring the southwestern United States, and shooting archery.
Matthew graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2019 with a BS in chemistry. He has a passion for lab work and enjoys working for a small business that provides an essential service to its clients for the benefit of the consumer. DVT gives him opportunities to learn and gain experience with many different analytical instruments.
Lindsey graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a BS in chemistry. She previously worked for a vitamins lab where she developed a passion for quality control and safe consumable products. She is excited to be a part of DVT and have a place to combine her love for science with her support for the cannabis industry. She enjoys hiking/camping with her dog, Pippin, reading about space science, and baking.
Analyst I & Safety Officer
Haley graduated from Northern Arizona University with a B.S. in Environmental Sustainability Studies. As an Arizona native growing up in the agricultural-centric city of Buckeye, she was always fascinated by the food production system and the unique characteristics of the Southwest. Her time at NAU allowed her to discover her passions for public health/safety and environmental justice. She continues to involve herself in efforts to mitigate climate change, both individually and globally, and seeks ways to improve the oppressive nature of many institutionalized systems. DVT prides itself for its consistent integrity and honest work, and Haley is thrilled for the opportunity to work for such a transparent company.
Meghan graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Chemistry. Over the course of her undergraduate studies, she found herself becoming increasingly interested in the analytical aspects of chemistry—more specifically pertaining to drug development and instrumentation. Meghan has previous laboratory experience in an accredited healthcare laboratory, which taught her the importance of quality control, quality assurance, and overall appropriate laboratory practices. In her free time, Meghan loves to travel, hike, and play with her two fur babies. She is excited to be a member of the ever-growing cannabis industry in Arizona.
Lead Laboratory Technician
Sidney always had a love for the sciences and an inner calling to impact the community. More so, she sought a path where she could use developing scientific knowledge to help others. This passion brought her to earn a B.S. in Forensic Science at Arizona State University. During her college career, she found love for analytical chemistry, forensic toxicology, designing methodology and performing research with flesh fly colonies. Sidney is excited to be a part of the DVT team to further her career and follow her passions, participating in a growing and developing industry that continuously works and adapts to ensure quality testing and the education of medical marijuana for the improved life of the community.
Nerissa graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in Biological Science. Having graduated with honors, it is easy to see her passion for science, education, and knowledge. After taking a Cannabis Contaminants and Exposures course at ASU, Nerissa found interest in the industry. She wants to make sure public health and safety are a priority. In her off time, Nerissa loves to cuddle and spend time with her dogs, rabbits, and horse.
Brecken Palmer recently graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in Biomedical Sciences as well as a minor in chemistry. His science courses throughout his academic career have shown him many different laboratory environments. Born in Arizona, Brecken has spent time in both Phoenix and Flagstaff cultivating a passion for the outdoors and has hiked all of the San Francisco Peaks. Brecken is extremely honored to join the DVT team because it will allow him to expand his knowledge of laboratory practices while contributing to the safety of an expanding industry.
Shannon graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a Secondary Education certificate. Her drive and strong work ethic is evident by her graduating summa cum laude and as a Barrett Honors Program Student. Shannon would like to continue increasing her knowledge within a laboratory setting and grow to be a proficient and experienced chemist within this industry. Shannon has a passion for health and wellness and enjoys being active or outdoors in her free time. If she’s not at work, she’s likely out adventuring, at the gym, or spending time with her loved ones. She is appreciative to be at DVT where she is surrounded by an amazing team of highly qualified, supportive, and passionate individuals.
Esteban graduated from Arizona State University with a BS degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Sociology, after completing his MS in Science of Healthcare Delivery he wanted to increase his knowledge on the inner workings of laboratory work pertaining to cannabis. Having prior experience within Clinical Research, Esteban indulges in the quality and safety of new technologies for the ever-expanding healthcare. Due to this, he found interest in the industry and its ever-growing expansion. In his free time, Esteban loves to stay in shape through weightlifting and is an avid gamer who enjoys the competitive scene. Esteban is excited to be a part of DVT and its mission to provided quality testing and being leaders in the expanding industry for both medical and recreational use.
Hanna has been at Arizona State University studying for a B.S. in Biochemistry and will be graduating in the Spring. Hanna has experience in healthcare laboratories and quality control, and she is excited to further her career in the cannabis industry. She has a passion for laboratory work and safety. In her free time, she enjoys painting and cake decorating. She also has the cutest leopard gecko named Luma.
Jaye felt drawn to the sciences, particularly botany, after seeing a stoma for the first time through a microscope. She graduated from Elms College in 2020 with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology and minor in chemistry. During undergrad, she worked in a research laboratory analyzing VOC composition of tropical plants in the Cucurbit family. Additionally, while working as a pharmacy technician, she developed a passion for botanical medicine and pharmacognosy- solidifying her interest in exploring modalities for pain management. J is honored to join DVT and is eager to expand her knowledge on the medicinal properties of cannabis while ensuring product safety in the industry. In her free time, she loves scouring antique malls for curios, crafting macabre and mixed media art, and hiking Arizona's stunning trails!
Austin received a BS in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of Kansas and a MS in Neuroscience from the University of Arizona. While at Kansas, Austin worked in multiple research laboratories, including social psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and medicinal chemistry. While in graduate school Austin worked in a neuropharmacology lab focused on pain, opioids, addiction, and cannabinoids. Austin has experience working as the Director of Science for a startup CBD company as well as managing a cannabis extraction lab, but decided to get back into the cannabis science and analytical lab arena with a high quality and ethical cannabis testing lab at DVT.
Molly graduated from ASU with a Bachelors in Genetics, Cells and Developmental Biology. She has had extensive PCR and general microbiology experience. She started her career harvesting stem cells and processing allografts and mastered the art of aseptic technique. After that she spent quite a bit of time doing quality assurance in the local AZ brewing industry but it wasn't long until she realized her true passion was Cannabis. Molly is super excited to be a part of the DVT team, ensuring safe and quality Cannabis for AZ medical and recreational patients!
Tyler recently graduated from GCU with a BS in Biology. His passion and strong foundation in the biological sciences and chemistry, along with his desire to acquire new techniques and skills, have led him to the continually expanding cannabis industry where he hopes to gain new knowledge while maintaining the highest ethical standards for testing. In his free time, he enjoys studying chess and weightlifting.
Olivia is on her way to earning her B.S. in Biochemistry at Arizona State University, and hopes to continue her education even further. She has over 5 years of Dispensary experience and 3 years of environmental laboratory experience. Excited to combine the two, She hopes to ensure that Arizona’s patients are getting the highest quality of medicine. She enjoys kayaking, hockey and playing with her dogs. She is excited to be a part of the Desert Valley team!
Lauren brings over 8 years customer service experience to DVT's Client Relations department. Lauren is proud of working for DVT, as she is passionate about ethically testing in the cannabis industry. She is currently enrolled in Glendale Community College and is striving towards her science degree at Arizona State University. Being an Arizona native, when Lauren is outside of the office, she enjoys hiking and playing badminton.
